A downloadable game for Windows

Game Name: Sunshine and Terror: Say Cheese (Horizontal Slice Prototype)

Developer: Daniel Wakefield

Summary:

Sunshine and Terror: Say Cheese is a first-person adventure/thriller game that focuses on finding and capturing pictures of monsters in the areas around Sunshine City to increase the player’s reputation as a photographer and to increase the ranking of the Sunshine and Terror Newspaper. The game allows the player to hunt each monster and take pictures of them using any technique they feel like using. As the monsters get progressively more challenging to find or take pictures of, the player can adjust their gameplay strategy to achieve a desired outcome.

This game’s thriller aspect of trying to find dangerous monsters and potentially being chased and attacked by the monsters paired with the semi-realistic graphics can be particularly attractive to teens and fans of the experience. Once the main story has been completed and all the monsters have been captured, the player can have the option of redoing all the previous levels to get a higher score on each monster using tools and tricks only available later in the game.

How to Install and Run:

Unzip the Build Folder and Run the "Say Cheese.exe"

Note: Build Platform is Windows

Notable Bugs:

- On Scene transitions, the cursor will stay unlocked. To fix this, just open and close the escape menu by pressing escape twice, then click the left mouse button. The cursor should disappear from there.

- If the player enters the forest scene too early, the terrain collider may not load in time and player will fall infinitely. If this happens, just close the game and restart. (Planned fix: a loading screen that confirms that the forest environment is fully rendered and loaded before doing the scene transition)

- Occasionally, Monster may get caught on bumpy terrain
